Nuestra Juventud: Creating Communities of Hope Initiative is a fellowship connecting youth to volunteerism, philanthropy and impacting our communities in partnership with Covarrubias-Aprendamos Foundation and Ivy Child International.
Welcome!
Thank you for your interest in Nuestra Juventud: Creating Communities of Hope Initiative. Our vision for this initiative is to amplify the voices and multiply the leadership opportunities for Our Youth/Nuestra Juventud, with a special focus on prioritizing BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students and/or students who represent and are from historically marginalized and outlying communities in Southern New Mexico.
We are excited to learn more about you and your aspirations to make a positive impact in our community. This application form is designed to be accessible to all.
The goal of the program is to enhance our community through further development of the whole self.
This cohort will be for youth and will work towards enhancing your philanthropic, professional, and personal development skills while creating a sense of community within the cohort and in connecting with community.
The Nuestra Juventud Fellowship term will be January-April 2027. There will be approximately five days when the cohort will meet as a whole group with some additional zoom sessions. Further information about support for transportation will be provided.
Please fill out the form with accurate and thoughtful responses. Your answers will help us understand your motivations, goals, and how you envision contributing to our community through giving and leadership.
We value diversity and inclusion, and we encourage you to share your unique background and experiences.
We look forward to reviewing your application and working together to create a positive change in our communities.
Sincerely,
Abel Covarrubias
